Protected Content

This CMS looks great and I look forward to watching it progress. I see us using it in several upcoming projects. One such project has the requirement that 2 or 3 pages are restricted from public view. Members of the association will be given login credentials.

It looks like this feature isn't already built-in. Any thoughts on how hard this would be for me to add in? I'm wondering if I can build a folder widget that checks to see if the user is in a role and then displays the content or redirects to the login page based on the result.

Does this sound like I'm on the right path?

Thanks again for this project!

Yes - a folder widget can be used to manage access to pages based on Roles. You probably won't want to use the WebSecurity helper methods as this will automatically direct the user to the CMS Admin login page if the current user is not authenticated. Also, if you use WebSecurity to authenticate users, they will have access to the Admin page.
